Javascript error when using the Forums

Hi, when i open a forum (e.g. Community Feedback (No Product Questions) in IE 6.0.2800.1106 i always get a javascript Syntaxerror at line 1 readInfoCookie() follwed by "Object expected" error in line 131.
This occurs on each operation (post, preview, open post, open forum) and is really bothering.
Regards, Markus
Ok, Problem also occurs in Mozilla 1.7. The script console says:
Error: syntax error
Source File: http://www.oracle.com/admin/jscripts/lib.js
Line: 1
Source Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
Error: readInfoCookie is not defined
Source File: Javascript error when using the Forums
Line: 136
Markus....I cannot replicate this issue and we have no other similar reports. Alas, not much we can do without more information.
Regards, OTN
The problem does not occur anymore. Neither in IE nor in Mozilla.
Magical self repairing feature of the browsers or the forum software ;-).
Thanks for your help, Markus

Need Packages for Documentum

Hi all,
What are the jar files necessary for running applications using documentum. I have sample code written in JSP and when i run in my web browser i get the following error ..........
package com.documentum.fc.client does not exist
probably occurred due to an error in /dfcjsp/login/login.jsp line 4:
<%# page import="com.documentum.fc.client.*" %>
HOW TO GET THESE PACKAGES ? ARE THEY AVAILABLE FREE?
could anyone please give me the links to download the packages or tell me where they exist in content server.......as i have content server installed.
Thanks
Krishna
Hi all,
What are the jar files necessary for running
r running applications using documentum. I have
sample code written in JSP and when i run in my web
browser i get the following error ..........Get them from the same place you got the sample code.
There is a good chance you already have them, if you downloaded or installed the samples from a bundle.
package com.documentum.fc.client does not exist
probably occurred due to an error in
/dfcjsp/login/login.jsp line 4:
<%# page import="com.documentum.fc.client.*" %>The initial part of a properly named java package should reflect the web domain of the package's developer. So in this case try
documentum.com
HOW TO GET THESE PACKAGES ? ARE THEY
ES ? ARE THEY AVAILABLE FREE?No Idea if they are free, in either sense of the word, you will need to read the licence.
They are located in $DM_HOME/classes/com/documentum/dfc.jar.

JSP problems in the Samples

I'm trying to run the "Online Orders JSP sample client"
and I am getting errors.
*************************************************
JSP Error:
Request
URI:/OrderEntry/OnlineOrders/OnlineOrders_html/LineItemView1_RowV
iewer.jsp
Exception:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax.jms.JMSException
**************************************************
I get these errors for all the links, but the main page seems to
be ok. Although on initial startup it couldn't find
webapprunner.html file
Any ideas? <btw> this new format of forums is much slower <imo>

The BC4J-Based JSP application for JDeveloper 9.0.5

Please, tell me where can I find documentation and examples for using Component Tags in JSP (displaying forms, tables)?
Thanks!
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/index.html
there you find plenty of tutorials and samples
Thanks!
I am having another problem and there was no answer on Jdeveloper forum:
I created simple JSP appl in JDev 9.0.5.2 and I put some BC4J tags (jbo:ApplicationModule, jbo:DataSource, jbo:DataTable) on my JSP page.
During compilation I got few error msgs:
Error(113,53): variable Res not found in class oracle.jbo.html.HtmlServices
Error(98,50): variable Res not found in class oracle.jbo.html.BC4JContext
I checked bc4jhtml.jar file and src file and there is no Res variable in the HtmlService.java.
Thanks!
I don't know the error message. You probably have an error in your setup, but I'm not sure.
Any special reason why you are not using JDev 10.1.2?
I suggest that you run some samples and try to understand how they work. Then you can alter there code or start a new project.
I got from someone JDev 10.1.2 but there I got error:
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1ORA-12705: invalid or unknown NLS parameter value specified
Neerver heared of that. Try downloading 10.1.2 from otn (it's free).

Error calling XSLT extension written in Java

After making some improvements to my working XSLT extension
written in Java it suddenly stopped working. (My application
transforms XSQL pages into HTML using an XSL stylesheet that
calls the XSLT extension.)
The JAR file containing the extension is in the wrapper.classpath
in jserv.properties. It is also in the system classpath. The
namespaces should be OK in the stylesheet (has worked before).
When I run the XSQL page in the browser, I get an error
"XSL-1044: Extension function error: Error invoking
'formatDate':'java.lang.NullPointerException'". However, when I
run the page from the command line with xsql, I get error
"XSL-1045: Extension function error: Class not found
'DateFormatter'".
The extension works fine when I transform a static XML file with
the stylesheet from the command line using oraxsl.
So why these different error messages, and where could I look for
the reason? This seems to me like a configuration error.
Some version info:
- Windows NT 4.0 Workstation, SP4
- Oracle 81 8.1.7
- XSQL Servlet v9.0.1
It seems to be a classpath problem. Would you provide samples to
reproduce the problem?
